Miss South Texas Shares Story About 200 Pound Weight Loss

Posted: Updated:

Miss South Texas said she once weighed over 200-pounds, but was able to change her diet.

When Keli Kryfko was 14-years old, she failed her school’s fitness test.

In an interview Miss South Texas said, "I had to take a fitness test in PE class where I not only failed it but I ended up getting a zero on it. I went to the locker room and hoping no one would notice and I heard some girls saying 'can you believe the fat girl couldn't do any of it.'".

After hearing this comment it became the motivation for Kryfko making a life change.

Kryfko credits her diet change for most of her weight loss.

The changes Kryfko made in her diet she said “I started making some incremental changes, adding more water, adding in fruits and veggies, less fried foods."

She went from a size twenty-four to competing in the Miss Texas Pageant.

Miss South Texas tells an inspiring quote to people saying, “I often tell people, your abs are going to be made in your kitchen, not in your gym.”
