KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. -

Police are investigating the cause of death after an infant was found unresponsive at a motel in King of Prussia.

The incident happened at approximately 8am when the parents of a 4-month old infant called 911 reporting that the child had stopped breathing at the Motel 6 located at 815 W. DeKalb Pike.

Police tell FOX 29 the parents performed CPR on the infant as officers from the Upper Merion Twp. Police Department and members of the Lafayette Ambulance Squad responded.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the infant unresponsive. The infant was pronounced dead at the scene. Although the investigation is continuing, the death does not appear to be criminal in nature.

Police say the infant’s 19-year old parents, who are from the Norristown area, are cooperating with the investigation.
