Lewiston, ME-Parents are on edge after a third suspicious note was found in York County, Maine.?
"You don't know if he is lurking in the bushes when your kids get off the school bus," said resident Tammy Wilkins.
Like most moms, Wilkins is always worried about her 13-year-old son."I make him call me every day," she said.
Now, she's got reason to believe he could be in real danger.
"It's crazy someone would be doing something like that," said Wilkins.
In a handwritten message, a self-proclaimed "pervert," threatened to stalk children at a home in Arundel.
"You got someone lingering around bushes, hiding put things in mailboxes, waiting for your kids to come out. Gadzooks, that's crazy," said resident Ginger Nadeau.
A man in Kennebunk was caught on camera last week, dropping a suspicious note in a mailbox on Ross Road.
"I was just goosebumps everywhere," said resident Dianne Falconer.
Eric and Dianne Falconer own a security systems company, and have cameras all over their property.
"He chose the wrong house, yep," said Eric. "They need to find him."
They call it scary and unsettling even though they don't even have little kids.
Their daughter is 19-years-old.
"No matter how old your children get, you still worry about them," said Dianne.
Kennebunk Police Chief Bob Mackenzie believes the person in the surveillance video is responsible for all three messages.
"If they were doing it as a joke it’s a sick joke as a father myself you see a note like that its very concerning," said Chief Mackenzie.
He’s asking parents to keep a close eye on their kids.
Meanwhile, residents are promising to keep a close watch for the suspect.
Chief Mackenzie says he is talking with U.S. Postal Service and Attorney General's office to find out which charges if any this man will face.
