Phillies, Cardinals Play Through Moth Swarm At Busch Stadium

ST. LOUIS, MO -

Baseballs weren't the only thing flying all over the field at Busch Stadium Friday night.

Players from both sides were forced to deal with a swarm of moths during the 7th inning of the Phillies 5-1 victory.

In the video you can see both batters and fielders doing their best not to be distracted by the bugs, as well as archive footage from the last time moths took over Busch Stadium.

The commentator explains that the last time the moths flocked to the field this way, it had to do with something that had been used to treat the grass on the field.
