Police In Montco Seek Girl, 17, Missing Since Tuesday

Police in Cheltenham say they're looking for a 17-year-old girl who is missing and believed to be endangered.

Investigators say Dena Marie Freudenberger was last seen Tuesday in the Elkins Park area. She withdrew $40 from an ATM at Walgreens around 1 p.m. and purchased some food and personal hygiene items. Then, at 3 p.m., she sent a Facebook message to her ex-boyfriend, who has been extremely cooperative, police said.

Police described Freudenberger as being a white, 5-feet-tall and 110 pounds, with long black hair and hazel eyes.

The 17-year-old was last seen wearing light blue jean shorts and a peach or light-colored, sleeveless T-shirt with a black graphic on the front, black flip flops and her hair was back in a ponytail. She was carrying a tan or beige purse.

She's known to frequent the Lynnewood Gardens, Cheltenham Square Mall, and Melrose Apartments area and may still be in the Elkins Park area, police said.
