Surveillance Video Captures Robbers Attempting To Break Coin Slot Of A Laundry Dryer

Police are looking for two suspects involved in an armed robbery in Rhawnhurst.

On June 26 at around 1:15am, video captured two men inside an apartment building located at 1844 Solly Avenue attempting to break open the coin slot to a dryer.

While attempting to open the coin slot, the suspects tipped over a dryer causing the gas line to break filling the apartment building with gas.

After a failed attempt at obtaining the money inside the dryer, both suspects fled in an unknown direction.

Moments later the Fire Department and Philadelphia Gas Works responded to the scene evacuating the building until repairs were made.
