Homeless Man Reunites With Sister Thanks To Good Samaritan

Posted: Updated:
Indianapolis, IN- He spent a countless number of years living on the streets of Florida as a homeless man. But today, he's back home with his family in Indiana thanks to a Good Samaritan.

Last month, John Boggs was panhandling outside a store in Plantation, Florida, when two teens allegedly beat him up for his money.

An undercover cop saw the entire ordeal and quickly intervened.

The story made it all over local news, social media, and eventually all the way back to Indiana where Boggs' family lives.

The family says they had no idea Boggs was in Florida or that he was homeless.

A Florida viewer also saw the story and offered to pay for Boggs' flight back to Indiana.  The Good Samaritan is a Fedex driver who had been saving up money to buy a new car. He offered to pay for the trip with the money he was saving for the car.

Finally, the homeless man reunited with his sister who he hasn't seen in more than a decade on Tuesday. It was truly an emotional reunion.
