Man Hospitalized After Police-Involved Shooting In North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA-SkyFOX was over the 3200 block of Page Street in North Philadelphia on Wednesday afternoon where Philadelphia Police say they shot a suspect.

According to FOX 29’s Shawnette Wilson, Philadelphia Police are investigating two shooting scenes.

Police say a man was shot four times near 31st and Page Street in Strawberry Mansion around 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

About 30 minutes later, police received a report that the two suspected gunmen were two blocks away.

Police say 22nd District Police officers were setting up a rear-containment near the home, as they were setting up the rear-containment; they witnessed a suspect walking out the backdoor of the home. The suspect allegedly pointed a gun at police. According to authorities, when the suspect pointed the gun at the officer, a police discharged occurred. The man suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Police are still looking for one suspect. No police officers were hurt. The two victims are currently in surgery at Temple Hospital.
