Delco SPCA Cares For Dog Found Stabbed, Seeks Information

Posted: Updated:
MEDIA, Pa. - The Delco SPCA is asking for the public’s help in finding a person responsible for stabbing a dog that was found on the property of DELCORA, a water treatment facility in Chester.

The Delco SPCA says the dog suffered many lacerations that are consistent with cuts made by a sharp object. The dog had wounds are all over her body, including her stomach, paws, legs and upper body, according to the SPCA.

The staff at the SPCA describe the dog as an “extremely friendly” young female black-and-white-Pit Bull Terrier. The staff named the canine Lovey because she’s very affectionate and sweet.

Lovey is currently in stable condition. Delco SPCA Director of Community Relations Justina Calgiano says the staff members want justice for Lovey and to find her a loving forever home.

The Delco SPCA is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the stabbing of Lovey.

If you have any information, please call the Delco SPCA Humane Society Policer Officer Ron Riggle at 610-566-1370 x214 or rriggle@delcospca.org.
