Decision Day Postponed For Former Eagle Fryar

Posted: Updated:
MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. -

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Irving Fryar will have a little longer to make a big decision.

The 51-year-old retired NFL star was supposed to reveal in court Monday whether he'd accept a plea deal in connection to a million-dollar mortgage scheme allegedly involving Fryar and his mother.

If Fryar accepts the deal, he would have to serve five years in prison and pay full restitution. His mother would get probation.

If he doesn't accept the deal, the duo will go to trial and face up to 10 years in prison and $150,000 in fines.

However, Monday's scheduled hearing was postponed until Aug. 12 due to an illness in the court.

FOX 29's Steve Keeley had more details on the case in this video report from outside the courthouse in Mount Holly.
